unsure if you want to have this kind of stuff
but i was able to get rid of many (sub)dependencies by using built in native methods instead.
went from 29 Modules down to 14
i have also updated the dependencies.
(this requires a major patch - nothing is changed but it requires a newer NodeJS version)
