π‘οΈ U.S. Navy Veteran | OT/ICS & Cloud Security | SCADA Β· Terraform Β· Linux Β· Embedded Firmware
πͺ£ Repos:
I'm a U.S. Navy veteran and former operations leader now working on the technical side of a live EV manufacturing floor, providing OT/MES support across Linux and Windows systems; meanwhile targeting a transition to OT/ICS and cloud security.
My background in high-stakes operational environments (Navy navigation and force protection, emergency medicine, and manufacturing operations at scale) built the foundation for security work: incident response, systems thinking, risk assessment, and process-driven troubleshooting. What makes my path unusual is that I know the plant floor from both sides now β operations and the engineering systems that keep it running.
This GitHub documents hands-on builds, labs, and troubleshooting workflows tied to real IT and security operations. As a bonus you can see the embedded/hardware projects I build end to end. Breadboard, to backend, to breaking support trees off the 3-D printed case.
π Current Focus:
- Provide Tier 1/2 OT support for SCADA and manufacturing systems across the Paint and Body-in-White departments - including Ignition (Inductive Automation) SCADA, automated storage & retrieval systems (ASRS), and VDI production scheduling/sequencing across the R1 and Amazon EDV lines.
- Targeting OT/ICS security near-term, with cloud security as the long-term next step
- Building and documenting embedded/hardware projects from ESP32, RP2040s, RA4M1, to W5500 Ethernet silicon, and 3D-printed enclosures
- Continuing to run an enterprise-style home lab for network, pentesting, and firmware attack research to better develop security monitoring, detection, and prevention skills

My career has been built around high-stakes operational environments where failure isn't an option:
- In the Navy, I operated in threat environments where security protocols were life-or-death.
- In emergency medicine, I managed critical systems where downtime meant patient harm.
- In manufacturing operations, I led process improvements that saved millions while maintaining safety and compliance β and now I support the OT systems that keep a plant floor running.
Cybersecurity combines everything I've trained for: risk assessment, incident response, systems thinking, and the discipline to operate under pressure while following documented procedures. This isn't a career change β it's a redeployment of skills into a domain where they're mission-critical.
