Engineering Trustworthy Intelligent Systems presents a practical engineering framework for building, governing, operating, and continuously improving trustworthy intelligent systems.

ETIS is grounded in software engineering discipline, repository-centered evidence, human oversight, operational trust, and governance by design.

Core principles include:

  • AI proposes; engineers verify.
  • Governance is architecture.
  • Context is control.
  • Everything important leaves evidence.
  • The model is not the system.
  • A demo is not operational proof.

ETIS treats trustworthy intelligent systems as systems that must be designed, verified, governed, operated, reviewed, and improved through evidence.

ETIS Engineering Platform Provides the guided implementation of ETIS through stages, templates, examples, governance assets, and workspaces.
ETIS Starter Kit Repository Maintains the source for the Engineering Platform and its reusable engineering assets.
Project Workspace / Reference Examples Supports project-specific evidence and demonstrates ETIS practice through LMU/COICP examples.
