What
Brings the handoff package up to date with two things it did not yet carry, following a full verification of the package against the live repository (coverage report, decision register, book and pamphlet directories, and shelf counts all matched; these were the only two gaps found).
Changes
project/handoff/language_and_voice.md: the spelling note now records the maintainer's July 2026 ruling that new prose uses American spelling for now, in the book as well as everywhere else, superseding the earlier Canadian preference for book chapters until he reopens it. The no-unrequested-sweep instruction stays; the dedicated spelling pass remains his to schedule. Without this change, a session drafting the next book chapter from the handoff alone would have written Canadian spellings against the current ruling.project/handoff/current_state.mdandproject/handoff/README.md: one addition each recording the Part I warmth revision: the no-guarantee hedge rationed to one full-strength statement per chapter, the original manuscript's dwelling metaphor, founding question, and five-pillar portraits restored on design-intent verbs, and the voice guide's new waiver row capping hedge repetition in teaching prose. The current-state paragraph directs future teaching-prose passes to apply that budget.Checks
