We can automate plugman updating too by using a variable release_date = "15-07-2026" then we can cross check with the generated "released_on": "17-07-2026" on index.json making sure that the date on the plugman and the one on the changelog are same

idk man... feels kinda unnecessary bcs there is a big text saying plugin manager, so I don't think anyone would actually get confused between actual store and this. maybe let this PR stay(don't approve) for 2-3 days, it's the weekend anyway, so maybe any more thoughts on this can be done, also if he thinks of updating or fixing smth in what he added, he can bcs people are more free on weekends.
Honestly I'm a practical kind of guy, ik the logo has meaning and stuff, but people don't know that, people see store icon, read plugin manager, think okay this is nice, open and download and use plugins. I'm down to use this icon, buy only as replacing the old icon in certain selected days, or selected week, etc to make it special, and not actually the default. ig we have a lot of choices now, so wanna take it slow and take 2-3 more days and discuss a bit more instead of rushing this. So yeah, that's my opinion.

I agree, it has a branding implication, a logo would give plugin manager a face and credibility over time. But I am not sure if we want this as the face of the plugin manager
Ima be honest here, it does look a bit janky
And I don't want to disregard your efforts, but I don't think we can make it look nice with the built in assets
What we can do is create a custom texture and use that now that asset packs are here

I agree with what Loup replied in the end, that's why i said we could take 2-3 days and think about this bcs i already had plans of using assets and add a custom icon, maybe like "hi-tech bombsquad-y" kinda icon.
I like this, don't get me wrong, but I can't feel the main logo energy, that's why i thought of adding it as an easter egg type thing and it could appear in specific days or weeks depending on what we choose yk, so all of us are satisfied in a way.
