Add Forza DualSense Haptics to Plugin Store

Forza DualSense Haptics converts native Forza Horizon 6 UDP telemetry into DualSense adaptive-trigger and haptic feedback on SteamOS.

The plugin provides:

  • Adaptive throttle and brake "pedal" resistance including throttle kick-down
  • Dynamic traction guidance using trigger-force modulation
  • ABS vibration, including ABS threshold feedback
  • Gear-shift kick
  • Rev-limiter feedback
  • Surface-state and vehicle telemetry reporting
  • Individual tuneable controls with expandable advanced settings
  • Saveable and re-nameable profiles
  • Automatic per-car profile selection and application
  • Controller diagnostics and built-in haptic tests

Task Checklist

Developer

  • I am the original author or an authorised maintainer of this plugin.
  • I have abided by the licenses of the libraries I am utilising, including attaching license notices where appropriate.
  • Generative AI was NOT used to write a majority of the code I am submitting.

Developer disclosure

For the sake of full transparency, generative AI tools were used during development for debugging assistance, the repo recovery post accidental deletion, documentation drafting/note taking and workflow guidance. All code was written, built and tested by me the author (and a lot of google/forums help).

Plugin

  • I have verified that my plugin works properly on the Stable and Beta update channels of SteamOS.
  • I have verified my plugin is unique or provides more/alternative functionality to a plugin already on the store.

Backend

  • No: I am using a custom backend other than Python.
  • No: I am using a tool or software from a 3rd party FOSS project that does not have it's dependencies statically linked.
  • No: I am using a custom binary that has all of it's dependencies statically linked.

Community

  • I have tested and left feedback on two other [pull requests][pulls] for new or updating plugins.
  • I have commented links to my testing report in this PR.

Testing

  • Tested by a third party on SteamOS Stable or Beta update channel. (SteamOS Deck LCD, Stable update)

Feels so good, thanks for putting this together. I'll leave a proper review ASAP when it gets added to the testing store.

I’m glad you like it! Can I ask, what did you test on? A deck, a machine, a build your own running SteamOS? And was it on stable or beta?

Just so I can update the “tested by third party field in the PR.
