Hardware Screen Recorder.
Telescreen is installed between the HDMI port and the screen. It can:
- Periodically capture screen images and save them to a MicroSD card
- Enable live screen streaming for remote monitoring
- Filter blank frames and remove near-duplicate captures
- Provide Wi-Fi access, with AP mode or connection to an existing Wi-Fi network
- Support up to 3840x2160 @ 30Hz and 1920x1080 @ 60Hz on HDMI loop-out, and 1920x1080 @ 50Hz on capture
- Work as a hardware device, making it invisible to antivirus software
Format the MicroSD card as FAT32 and insert it into the card slot.
Connect the power cable, the HDMI input cable on the computer side, and the HDMI output cable on the monitor side.
The device takes about 1 minute to boot. Then connect to the default Wi-Fi hotspot and open the management page:

Management password: telescreen
Please change the password after logging in. The new password is used for the management page, SSH, and LuCI.
The management page includes:
Live: view the HDMI live stream.
Album: view and download saved images.
Settings: configure resolution, frame rate, image quality, capture interval, and deduplication parameters.
System: configure Wi-Fi, change password, format the SD card, view logs, and reboot the device.

- MicroSD card compatibility is limited. A 16 GB or larger Class 10 card is recommended.
- HDMI IN cable movement may cause temporary screen flicker.
- HDMI audio output is not supported.
