This list has been started with division by supporting organizations. However, it may make more sense to have a listing by type of software (acquisition, processing, QC, autonomous systems, etc).

NOAA Projects

NOAA Office of Coast Survey develops and organizes tools for NOAA's hydrographic workflow.

CCOM/JHC Projects

The University of New Hampshire Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping / Joint Hydrographic Center fosters research and development of tools for hydrographic data characterization, processing, and unmanned systems.

CIDCO Projects

The Development Center for Ocean Mapping (DCOM/CIDCO) actively develops tools and algorithms for hydrgraphic data acquisition and post-processing, infrastructure inspection, subaquatic inventories, and more.

Open Navigation Surface Project

The Open Navigation Surface is implemented as the Bathymetric Attributed Grid (BAG) file for storage of gridded hydrographic data. See more details on the GitHub repository or website
