PDF Editor Signature Length Issue

So with the name "Name Example One", everything works and the downloaded PDF appears correct.

I don't know the exact cutoff, but the editor lets you fit "Name Example One Hundred" but when you go to download it, that signature will be missing.

I don't know if the signature section needs a warning saying like "Signatures are limited to X characters" or if there's a way to increase them.

Is the main problem due to the textbox overlapping the PDF content in the editor, or is it related to how the signature is rendered in the downloaded PDF?

I was thinking of making the textbox transparent for better alignment, but I’m not sure if that would fully solve the issue.

Could you please guide on the expected behavior ?

I’ve just found a workaround. Adding a few extra spaces after the signature seems to ensure the full text is displayed correctly.

Also, using the text component instead of the signature component works without any trick, though it follows the basic text policy.

Try the spacing trick and let me know if it works on your side!

Yes @Chesterkxng , that’s true, I’m seeing the same result. I’ll try some alternative approaches too and update here if I find a better solution.

I looked into it , seems like it’s an internal SimplePDF rendering issue. Since it runs inside an iframe, we can’t control how the Signature bounding box is calculated, which is likely why text gets clipped.

The spacing workaround helps, but it’s not a real fix. This probably needs to be resolved on their side.

I don’t think it’s necessary, since the signature field is most likely intended for drawings. For text-based signatures, users can simply use a text box instead. Adding a warning message for this edge case would probably just overload the frontend unnecessarily.
