This is also a non-starter for me to jump from Onedrive and Google Photos, along with an option to write metadata into files. |

The current desktop application only allows one-way sync with chosen "watched" folders. Users should have the option for 1 or 2 way sync.
The benefit of two-way sync is that if you take a photo on your phone, then it shows up in the Pictures folder on the Desktop automatically. You could then use ANY photo editing management or editing program you like on your PC. Maybe you like to use DigiKam or Photoshop -- if your Desktop program of choice is set to watch the folder that Ente syncs to, then all you need to do is open up the Desktop photo app and the photo from the Ente mobile app will be there already.
This could alleviate pressure on Ente developers to develop the Desktop app so they can focus on the mobile app.
